14 January 2027, Splendor Amsterdam. My new solo album: harder and more electronic than before, with wide synths, sub-bass and self-programmed drums, and classical, minimal, jazz and funk in the mix. The path I started with PEAX, now on my own.
Ties Mellema’s’ Grab it!’ is an ode to life and death with the music of Dutch composer JacobTV as the central composer alongside minimalist Philip Glass with his piece de resistance ‘Gradus"‘ and his theater music ‘Melodies’; Lauba’s exotic Balafon and Turnage’s emotional Memorials.
